ABOUT US

OUR STORY

Stonewall Volunteer Fire Department proudly serves more than 272 square miles of Gillespie County in the Texas Hill Country. Our 36 active members provide fire suppression, fire prevention, rescue services, and first responder services to our community. 

 

Training is held on the first Thursday of each month, with our General Business Meeting held on the third Thursday.  If you are interested in joining the department or learning more about what we do, we invite you  to come out and meet us.

TAX-EXEMPT STATUS

Stonewall Volunteer Fire Department is currently exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue code. We are classified as a public charity under sections 509(a)(1) and 170(b)(1) (A)(vi) of the Internal Revenue code. Contributions to the Stonewall Volunteer Fire Department are deductible under section 170 of the Code, and we qualify to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under section 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the Internal Revenue code.
